it's nice to see you got some pics. i was afraid to do it after seeing someone get escorted out below me. despite comin out empty handed last night was awesome. haha and i don't know why but i had a nosebleed right after the concert.

needler303: that sucks for that guy! as you can tell i was trying to be super sly with taking the pics... i was basically hiding my phone between the two people to either side of me. using them for cover and trying to keep an eye on where the security guy in front nd on the right side balcony was at, i figured those would be my main problem...

I'll post more about the show itself (it was GREAT) in a bit, but I did want to make a special post about the lateness issue.

When I first started hearing reports of the shows starting late I figured it was mainly coming from folks that hadn't gone to a lot of concerts; after letting everyone in, the opening act, and set-up it's not unusual at all for the proper show to start an hour or so after the listed time.

But the TWO HOUR wait was excessive and painful. I feel bad for Mike Rizzo who was kind of thrown to the wolves here: when he announced Utada was starting at 9 to an audience that had already been waiting for over an hour, he basically lost all goodwill with the crowd and his whole set felt like a struggle against their disgruntledment (also people probably weren't expecting to dance and this crowd probably didn't quite understand DJing enough to really appreciate some of his impressive mixing). Fortunately the closer we got to 9 o'clock the more excited the audience became.

I suppose this wouldn't have been as much of an annoyance (I mean, things happen right?) but knowing that this has happened at mutliple shows concerns me. Especially since these are standing-room only shows (this was one of the only venues with some actually seated sections, but I was still in the pit), we're crammed in like sardines where body heat escalates and, yes, I did start smelling some B.O. , it doesn't surprise me that some people actually fainted. My legs felt like they were going to fall off!

I really do wish that there was at least some acknowledgement for the delays ("Thank you so much for waiting" or something) and maybe a thank you to Mike Rizzo who had to take all the heat. I don't mean to sound ungrateful for what was a fantastic show (MORE ON THAT IN A BIT ), but I think it had to be said.

Utada stated in one of her messages that it was sold out? So if that's true this would be a sold out tour! every single city? Can anyone confirm? And are those reports of people passing out true? Utada's site says there are tickets available for the Chicago Show. The Seattle concert was sold out but some tickets opened up two days before on ticketmaster to my luck. Perhaps they do this to foil the scalpers 2x prices. I see the London tickets are outrageous already.

geez...She was so gorgeous!!! I was sitting on the top level, but stll saw her preety clearly :] I kept telling people to get out of my way, because they would just come and stand there O_O but, I absolutely adored every performance. It was as if she was singing into me :]

At the end though, I walked outside to see if I could possibly catch her before she left. The area was sealed off, but I waited with a small family of 3. Several minutes later 4 more people came and just cut me off...I was thinking when the time comes I'm sure we will all form a line like civilized people. Yeah, it turned out I was wrong :/because when the gates open and Hikaru started to drive out, all the people there cut me off and when they got her signature they didnt move :/ one girl even wanted to get more signatures even though she already had one :/

I was so upset, I even told the people that came after me that they had done something wrong by cutting me off like that. At the end I decided to forgive them and not feel mad anymore

Even though I did not get her signature...I'm happy to have seen her gorgeousness from the window of her car

^^Where did you see her? I would have waited to try to get autographs if I had any idea at all where she would have exited the building from.
