And, of course, the fact that Ellen is gay means it does no harm to mention that Utada gives the gay shout-out in "On and On." That's already become my personal pride song, I can't wait for it to reach the wider LGBTQ community (I hope it does).

Yeah, for me, it feels nice knowing that Hikki isn't some raging homophobe. That would make me kind of uncomfortable with her in some ways....also with Ellen herself being gay it is a good thing to mention. Obviously Ellen wouldn't want some massive homophobe on her show, lol.

What does being gay friendly (and the Colors video) have to do with anything? Utada is EVERYBODY friendly, her music can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone, right?
I think it's important to mention that she debuted in the US, so she could get on the show and promote TITO.
Mention your favorite songs, like I mentioned Final Distance, Kremlin Dusk, Sakura Drops etc.

I'll be so happy if she really gets on the show so I'm off to drafting the form. Gonna mention how successful her first album is and how young she started. Then will add on things like how her tickets got sold out without much promotion. I'm also thinking of adding the point that she's gay friendly. The video of Colors is another example.

I saw ellen post a link to this on her Twitter yesterday and funnily enough I logged into here to make a topic about it! haha :) I'd be so giddy if she got on the show. Let's do this, peeps :D
