Janelle Monae - Many Moons

Janelle Monae is a Pop/rock/soul/ artist that has worked with pdiddy and outkast. Not only is she lyrically awesome, has a decent sound, but she does the moonwalk backwards AND forwards!

Wow, that was pretty cool. And I saw a live and she has true vocal talent. I'm seriously considering looking more into her.

It's good music and an interesting video, but I fail to see where you can compare it to Lady Gaga.

It's my thread.. IMO the production is top notch, the video production is top notch too, and her content is superior to anything gaga has put out.

I never said you didn't have the right to state your opinion, I was just wondering how you could compare the two since Gaga and Janelle don't have many similar attributes. The only similarities I found were that it was a 'short film' and they were both woman singers. The style is different, the concepts for the videos are completely different and I'm not even sure whether your comparing it to the Telephone video or all of them.

Telephone had many metaphors and representations that when you watch for he first time, you wouldn't get and I'm sure this video has that too. I mean, I don't think one is better than the other honestly. They stand on their own. I've not heard of Janelle Monae before, but I'm sure she's an excellent singer and performer. I just happen to like Lady Gaga better. I'm not saying she's better or anything, I'm saying I like and am more familiar with Gaga.

Anyway, you have your opinion and I respect that. I was just asking for your reasoning behind it.
