For me the ending to Mobile suit Zeta Gundam was quite sad >.> also The ending to Char's counter attack D: But aside from mobile suit ralated stuff.

Eureka Seven was a very...umm...yeah...it had some sad parts >.>

Serial Experiment Lain - Lain confronting what it means to take on the role of omnipresence was pretty depressing.Losing in proof of existence for the sake of a friend.

Technolyze - I really would like more people to see this series.I've learned so much from this and lain.The whole series is a journey to becoming more human.

I'd argue Bubblegum Crisis - I feel this felt a strong weight in established environments.Everything about Tokyo in 2032-34 was just hellish.The episode with those lesbian androids was pretty f'd up.

Parasite Dolls - Everyone dies.

Hohzuki Island - *see above*


Hohzuki island banned from many manga site , so i have no idea if its sad or not

Well i know that full metal alchemist can be very sad at many times and personally its one of my favorite anime some of the sadist parts in full metal would be when ed and Al's mom dies and they try to bring her back and also when coronal Hughs dies and his funeral.

Nice another Gundam Fans , eeeerrrr i have no idea about Clannad

For me, maybe when Major Motoko and Batou want to leave with airplane in the airport. When from far away, a dragonfly copter shoot Motoko head with sniper rifle and blow up her head. Batou look very sad and cry that time, you can see his human side even though he already a pure cyborg. Touchy moment

I definitely have to say, from the Rurouni Kenshin OVA, where Kenshin accidentally slashes Tomoe as she tries to stop him from killing the other man. They didn't love each other at first, since Kenshin killed Tomoe's fianc?e, but they were forced to act as husband and wife during troubled times, and as time progressed, they grew to love each other. Dang. After she died in Kenshin's arms, her memory haunted him through the whole battousai era, through the original anime, and even after the anime. The guilt of killing the first woman he fell in love with stuck with him for years.

Ehh.. I was just very emotional when i saw the end of the Rurouni Kenshin OVA. It was just so heavy and sad.. And it's rare for anything to make me tear up like that...

since I don't read manga I'll stick with anime:

Kenshin, when he says farewell to Kaoru.
Bleach, when Inoue leaves with Ulquiorra.
Hikaru no Go, when Sai disappears.
