Can any Utadanet J-pop aficionados, shine a light on Suga:

Suga Shikao
O2 Academy Islington
Sun 14 Nov 10
Door time: 7.00pm
Show time: TBC
Japanese pop megastar Suga Shikao hits the UK with his glitterball blend of influences including disco, Motown, psychedelia, house and brassy funk.

Due to previous problems anyone queuing in the N1 Centre or the local area more than a few hours before the show will be moved on and possibly denied entry to the concert.

Cheers x

Anyone heard of....

LITE. Mass of the Fermenting Dregs. School Food Punishment. Mutyumu. Mecha-nero. Anoice....?

Those are some of my favorite Japanese bands, but they aren't quite as popular as most of the usual J-rock and Visual Kei bands.

Mass of Fermenting Dregs might be no more ;_; Chiemi left the band Saturday. Her last show was the last of the tour, in Club Quattro shibuya I believe. MotFD and SFP were both indies til last year so yeah. I've been slowly turning people on to them. WORLD IS YOURS is my favorite MotFD song and I just recently started really like Zureru. SFP changed it bit in the pass 2 years. Their sony stuff is so upbeat. I really like Future Nova but I want more songs like Pool, you may crawl and Flow(I would argue flow is their best song). You listen to Luminous Orange?

this might sound weird. but this is the first time (for me =/) that someone actually knows SFP! normally i get "whats that?" or "is that a movie?" *sigh*

bands like those deserves more attention in the music industry. SFP is my fav band btw. my fav songs are you may crawl and turn xD

Ahh, I'm no longer alone! haha.
Yeah they're great =]
You May Crawl has one of the best bass intros I've ever heard.
I also really like Flow, Feedback, Pool, Egoist, Killer, Kimuri No Shiro, and a bunch of other songs.

Definitely check out the other bands I mentioned... each one is very different.
