But yeah, I am not too surprised. I haven't bought anything from her yet, and not planning on to in the future. Only way I would "get" something is when I get to see her live in my area (which I doubt she will perform live here).

Wheee! A new CD and a DVD of her tour?!

iTunes only release would do no justice to the tour. I don't think the quality would be right. CD was success in Japan, so they can at least give it a JP release on all region DVD like they did with other concerts...

Well, their obvious move would be a digital-only release of In the Flesh 2010 (i.e. an internet purchase). The fact is that Utada's TITO album wasn't well-received/marketed like it should have been, so why would the label (or whoever is in charge of the tours, for that matter) release a mini-tour concert video in retail stores? It would sell less copies than the actual album itself, I'm sure, especially since they've finished promoting her album a long time ago. Internet purchases, like from iTunes, is becoming more mainstream. Thus, it wouldn't be surprising if that is the direction they take with her tour video release. That way, I'm sure it'll be easier for international people to have access to it as well, so they can get as many sales out of it as they possibly can.

OK, now I think I understand why my YouTube upload, "Utada Hikaru Passion/Sanctuary (In the Flesh 2010 version)" video was removed for copyright infringement this morning... this makes much more sense to me. I didn't understand how it was copyright infringement when hundreds of other videos are of Passion and Sanctuary, but mine was spliced and mixed up and got removed... but it's funny that, when announced that footage from Utada's concert will be released, that announcement is the same day that my YouTube video was removed.

Regardless, this is awesome news, and I can't wait to hear more about it!

This has totally made my day! I'm glad that In The Flesh will be making some form of appearance! I just hope it's a full-length thing, and not "selected songs" from the tour... Anyway, I know it'll just be amazing! It's been a great year for Utada fans, I must admit!

And cube, I'm pretty sure two were filmed, I know London was one of them, not sure about the other.
