Its her biggest single digital hit since Flavor of Life, I think, in terms of combined airplay and downloads despite the relatively mixed fan reaction (I think most people are just happy to hear something new from her again either way)!
Chart rankings: Billboard Adult Contemporary Airplay: #5 Billboard Japan Hot 100: #7 RIAJ Digital Track Chart Top 100: #19 Itunes Japan: #1 Also unmentioned is it making it into the Top 10 of J-Wave Tokio Hot 100's Airplay @ #10 this week (jumped from #52!); Hopefully 'Goodbye Happiness' will do all the better there and elsewhere being a true Utada song with a legit PV to accompany it!  |

"Goodbye Happiness" will do way better IMO..It's got so much of her flavor in it and I think people will go crazy for this song, especially since she is going on hiatus..Although Hymne has its good points, I think it was just too experimental..

There's been a lot of Japanese digital/mobile download ranks and charts (Reco-choku,Chaku-Uta, Itunes Japan,etc.) that have stated its reached #1 or at least charted quite highly but no one has stated or confirmed any solid figures. If someone can get on RIAJ at the end of October and see/translate for the rest of us what its certifications are, I know they'll have some, but otherwise not an unambiguous clue to go on...
