the robot dance could be from "Can You Keep A Secret". and the doves could also be from the ending of "Deep River". "鳥たちが今飛び立った". |

I thought it was interesting where the line "出会ったころの気持ちを今でも覚えてますか？" (do you still remember the feeling when we met?)was sung while sitting on the yellow chair. since "Automatic" was her debut song and it was the time fans "met" Utada Hikaru.

^To projectatel and anyone shocked at the Tokyo Hot 100 peak of Goodbye Happiness, remember that it JUST debuted this week for the first time! It only had airplay for over a week now, and Utada's songs typically debut in the lower half but manage a strong charting trajectory in comparison to virtually all her J-pop peers solo, group, or otherwise (she's had more than 30 songs chart there and been #1 @ least w/ six different tracks including Traveling -5 weeks-,Deep River-1 week-,This Is Love-4 weeks-,Keep Tryin'-3 weeks-,Heart Station-3 non-consecutive weeks, and Come Back To Me-I think 2 weeks?)..

I really enjoyed watching the music video! It was extremely cute!
 I really like how she incorporated a lot of the other music videos into this one. Utada never fails to amaze me! Can someone please post the translation of the lyrics on here, please? |

I thought the PV was interesting..
Not her best by a long shot, but it's still very charming and cute. I like the fact it's almost a reflection of her career, and it's amazing that they did it all in one shot! I'm sure there were many times when Utada never quite made it into the yellow chair (she almost missed in the PV!) The references were also cute, it's fun trying to spot them all! |
