Does anybody know when and what show they were on, where they met?

Nope ! It sure was in MUSIC STATION (that is a very famous weekly show in Japan), but I do not when. But you know Hikki and Miss Hamasaki met many times ^_^ I even suspect them to be quite good friends... unfortunately. Well, I never liked Ayumi's music but I admit now I simply hate this girl after what she dared doing last week in this same show...ANYWAY ! If I can find when it was aired, I will tell you !

They talk about NYC and areas where Ayu lived and she asks Hikaru if she knows where a specific McDonalds is hahaha... Then they ask Hikki if she listens to Ayu's songs and she says she sings her songs at karaoke... They ask the same thing to Ayu and she says yes and that a lot people she hangs around listen to her hahaha... They then tell Ayu that Hikaru sings her songs at karaoke and she goes, "I wanna hear that!" hahaha... Then they ask Ayu if she sings Hikaru's songs at karaoke and she says "Well her songs are really difficult to sing" and then says "I'd like to go karaoke with her" haha...

Tamori mentions that he's only been to NY once even though he's been famous for quite some time. Ayumi asks if he knows Broadway? He says yes. She says she was in that general area. He asks if she knows NY well and she says not very. She only really remembers the studio and the place she lived (they are referring to her vocal lessons way back before her debut).

Tamori says Hikki must know NY well. Hikki answers her knowledge is generally ok. She knows the Bway area (midtown) really well since the studio is near there and she spent a year in that vicinity. Tamori asks if it's dangerous at night. Hikki says it's gotten a lot better (which is true) and that at night it becomes very active (recently) with transvestites at clubs and bars.

Tamori asks Ayumi if she was scared to be by herself, she answers of course. She asks Hikki if she knows the McD's there, Hikki's like, "Probably" (it's unclear where Ayumi is talking about since there are about 114454 McD's in the city). Ayumi says she generally ate burgers everyday and since she was afraid to go out by herself at night, she would ask her teacher to buy her McD's for lunch and an extra for dinner. So, though the burger would be cold for dinner, she at least wouldn't have to go out (I'm assuming this was also during her training years). Tamori's like, "That's such a sad existence! Was it really that scary?" Ayumi says yes.

After Ayumi goes to stand-by, Tamori asks Hikki if she listens to Ayu's songs. Hikki says that she'll sing them when she karaokes.

Oh thanks you guys! Well this is the first thing I've seen them on together. I didn't know they met before. xP I'm so late. I can't really find any stuff on their past meetings.

No you are not so late ! Many people still think that they hate each other simply because most Ayu's fans hate Hikki & her music and most Hikki's fans hate Ayu & her music lol So Ayu finds Hikki's songs are hard to sing ? lol No sorry, I am sure many people should like Ayu too here, please excuse me -_-'

LOL yeah, I agree. I don't hate her, but a small part of me does, but it's mostly because of her fans. But I am trying to get into her music so I have a better understanding of her and why her fans like her music so much. But I'll always be a Utada fan no matter what. I love her more than anyone else I listen too. x3

Well I don't know that much about Ayumi Hamasaki. So I can't really say anything about her. I think both singers are very pretty and have sweet voices, but I'm still more of a Utada fan. Someone told me it wasn't really Ayumi that Utada sort of has a rivalry with in the Jpop world, but a singer named BoA. I'm not familiar with alot of Jpop music, so I wouldn't touch on that subject. But from looking at the pics, tombraiderjmm posted, they look like friends.

Yeah I also heard that Namie and Ayumi sorta have a little rivalry thing. But I don't really know. xP

I do know that there are more than a few female Jpop singers, so it's a possibility that any one of them could have a rivalry with each other. Not that I think having a rivalry is a good thing, but maybe friendly competition is all right. By the way tombraiderjmm, I'm not sure who's on your avatar, but she's pretty.
