About Utada's voice in HEART STATION/Stay Gold...

Stay Gold was good, and I just heard HEART STATION... but have you noticed her voice is like... wavering? I think that's the only word that can describe it. I mean, with all the songs in ULTRA BLUE, her voice sounds so powerful, in this single it sounds... weak. What do you guys think?

hmmmm i kinda thought the same thing only to me the word struggling came to mind once or twice... i mean it still sounds great but to me its almost... idk lacking or something...

Hikki can't be that dumb to permanently damage her voice. She must have a singing coach or something right?

Her voice is just fine, she just changed it to fit the songs, I think anyways.

I love HEART STATION. I think they were supposed to give you the calm, serene feeling instead of something powerful like "This is Love".

I think that's the reason Ultra Blue is called so.

The word ultra gives a sense of intensity and the intensity mostly comes from her voice. Maybe the next album will have a mellow title?

I don't think Hikki's voice hasn't really changed in HS/SG.

However, I think her voice has subtly changed throughout her career. I'm not quite sure how, but that's what I hear.
