I think her glory days were from the Distance era until Deep River. She could really do high notes in Time Limit and her body was perfect...hey, she wore pretty revealing outfits in Bohemian Summer. Surely she wanted to show off her body then. I love her best in the Wait and See video.

Up to now I would say 2002 - 2004 were the glory days with Deep River, Budokan and Exodus. With the release of Exodus the world should have been at her feet but it just didn't happen. If you want to go by appearance then at the Budokan she was without doubt the embodiment of perfection.

2006 was also a good year with Utada United, surely an event of global and historical significance. It was after watching that concert that I became a fan. Maybe after two great albums and with an upcoming english album the time is now. This could be the moment when she gets long overdue global acknowledgement.

that's what I think too .. + the success of First Love .. the song that introduced "Utada Hikaru" to worldwide audiences.

id say now also...tons of her songs are instant favorites with one listen nowadays...her recent album didnt include one filler song...all amazing and oricon top 10 material...its tough to say because her oldies were and are still greatly admired by fans around but i think now..she sings with more emotion (as you can tell from the mood of the songs) and she's more grown up she says...and its portrayed with the change in style...a lighter tone in terms of beats and a little less on the voice also...but still good and her best works so far...so i say now..

I'd call Boku wa Kuma a filler P:

Personally, I'd say she still has plenty of time to hit an even gretaer peak then ever before.

I hope she rises above herself in the future. Who knows, Japanese women age very slowly. Maybe if she rested her voice for 6 months it'll recover...
