Things That Don't Make Sense / Fit?

I really love the song WINGS from ULTRA BLUE. I feel it's such a nice, mellow song - it reminds me of my best friend (it sometimes makes me emotional). Anyway, I love the song and all, but there is one bit that I really hate.

During the song, there is one bit from 2:45 to about 2:53, the lyric "Endingu no sukoshi temae de tojinai de"

I really feel that lyric is extremely rushed, and it doesn't sound right at all.
Other than that, I love this song so much!

So, are there any things you've noticed in songs that don't seem to make sense, or don't sound right?

That line doesn't sound rushed to me. I was able to hear what she said every clearly...

I haven't noticed things out of place, but now that you brought it up, I'm going to be on the lookout now. Haha. Thanks.

I just realized what Hikaru was saying in her interlude for First Love. It's her on the answering machine. Pretty cool.

I dislike the

'Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!' in the background of On and On.

"I want your baby" in Kettobase.

The Bridge in 'Making Love' it's much to fast.

The same goes with "Come Back to Me" Hikaru needs to S L O W D O W N.

The poetry reading in 'Kremlin Dusk'. It ruins the song a bit for me.

"I see a red door and I wannt paint it black" in 'Amai Wana' I could do without.

Not many more complaints come into mind.

hum i find pretty much all of her songs perfect as they are but i find the beginning part of Me Muero a little awkward

"(...)since you took your love AWAY (...) I've thrown it all AWAY"
dunno this repetition just sounds a little awkward imo....

I agree with Amaterasu, but I grew to like both. The "Yeah!" in On and On kinda like keeps the beat. The bridge in "Making Love" is odd, but it is one of my favorite Utada bridges (aside from Passion).


Anyone else think the English parts of "Nichiyo no asa (Sunday Morning)" are really, really awkward and kind of creepy?

'Cloudy morning, ice cream toppings
Music?s playing
High street shopping, chocolate cravings
Baby?s crying' <----

I agree with the "I want your baby" in Kettobase. I love that song but I kinda wished she replaced that phrase with something else..but that would alter the overall meaning of the song..

I actually adore the English in Nichiyou no Asa. I think she sounds awefully sexy.
