Here is a nifty chart showing Utada's popularity over time (from 2004-present), according to Google search statistics.


You can see three peaks in popularity.

In September-October 2004 was Utada's US debut and release of her "EXODUS" album.

The peak in Spring 2006 was the release of her "Keep Tryin'" single and "ULTRA BLUE" album

And of course the third peak was the recent release of "Come Back To Me" and "This Is The One" and associated US promo.

Wow ever thought than Philippines is one of the top 3rd

It's pretty interesting. Malaysia is in the 4th position, that's not bad. Now I know there's a little hope left for a Hikki fanclub here.

Japan is no.7. Quite low. I guess that's no surprise.

you should also remember that in different regions ... Google may not be necessarily the search engine of choice. Other ones such as Yahoo may be used more.

this means that if Hikaru will do an asian tour, the philippines will be one of the tour dates. (cant wait for that to happen).
