I'm going to buy it now that I have the program to put DVDs into my computer

is there a difference between the DVD with the disc on the front cover and the one of her face?

I've never actually seen someone who owns the one with her face on it (unless it's a bootleg). I'm kinda curious too.

Is it just safer to go for the other one?

I have the one that's just the disc that says "Utada United 2006" It's great quality and has every song (and most importantly it plays in western dvd players), so I'd just go with that since it seems that no one around here has experience with the version with the face on it.

The ones you saw should be bootlegs. You can get those at Asian supermarkets for $5. I'd be suspicious of anything that is priced super low....

This one's also a bootleg....it doesnt say Toshiba EMI on it.

In general....I'd be suspicious of anything that's priced really low....if you want the real deal just buy it from any credible vendor (CDJapan, YesAsia, HMV, ect.) It's kinda pricy, but it's authentic. If you don't mind getting a bootleg (which is fine. I had an UU06 bootlege that I sold. Sorry I can't afford a $60 DVD) then you should try to get one. The quality is generally on par with the original. Or you could go over to JpopTsuki and download the DVD.

I think I may just have to wait for a cheaper legit one....

I'm pretty sure there's only one version of the DVD.

It's the one with the 'disc on the cover', but that's not even the cover per se. The actual box is made of a transparent plastic. The disc you see is the proper disc that you take out, resting on a piece of black foam.

This is what it needs to look like, and incidentally that's where I bought my copy. Anything other is gonna be a bootleg copy.

If you don't want to pay the full price, I'd take a look at Book Off (I think there is one in Hawaii)....they have lots of Hikki stuff generally (well I would only know about the ones in California). There were singles $3...I got my Ultra Blue album original thick casing and with Obi for only $7 @_@...it sells on CDJapan for like $30. If you're lucky you might find some DVDs there

There's a store here that sells all Sorts of Japanese CDs... Singles for $1-3 and albums for $10-25

I bought 3 utada singles there.... But they don't have anything else I don't already own
