@soulhunter...i think you are right. i mean if hikaru would do an asian tour, they should have done so during the distance/deep river era. her videos were still played in MTV heavily back then. plus there was the anime upsurge which boosted the interest in all things japanese.

now people only know first love and not the one who sang it.

50-50 on this. Hikki is well known for her song "First Love" here in our country. But people only know the song, not Utada herself. But on the other hand, I know a lot of Jpop and Utada fans here and they are hungry for Japanese artists to enter our country since we're full of Korean artists now. But if ever Utada holds a concert here, an average venue like "Music Museum" is better than "Araneta Coliseum". Not that I'm saying Hikki won't be able to make Araneta crowded, it's that she's been in a hiatus for how many months now and there were no promotions of her in our country. So I don't think she could make it in Araneta.
