I'll try to revive this topic^^. I'm not into pop that much. I like j-pop, but my fauvorite genres are punk, rock, and symphonic metal.
Green Day - their music has cheered me up when I was sad. Some of GD's songs give me energy, some of them give me chills. And they are awesome at concerts, and I find it very important. I have a lot of sentiment to them. My Chemical Romance - "Na Na Na" and "Destroya" - these songs rule! However, i prefer their elder stuff. Machinae Supremacy - not very popular, but very good band. They play original music called "sid metal". You don't have to like metal to like their music, though. "A View from the End of the World" is one of my fauvorite rock/metal albums. Within Temptation - guitars + Sharon's mezzosopran = epic. Sometimes I listen to 30 Seconds to Mars, Breaking Benjamin, Nightwish, Epica and Kalafina. |

J artists I like very much (other than Hikaru Utada) are:
Hajime Chitose, Chihiro Onitsuka, Cocco, Rurutia, Abe Mao ... I also like a few bands such as Spitz, Buriguri and Mono. British or US: I never get tired of the good old Beatles and Pink Floyd but also enjoys listening to U2, Kate Bush, The Cure, Placebo or Evanescence... |

@LoBFCanti i cant help it that i like a lot of different types of music :p im half hispanic so that why i like some spanish artists, dance beats :D (hehehe i love to dance), rock/metal (most of my family love rock), christian music (rock type only :)) i've been to christian rock concerts and i fell in love since), japanese (i meet friends and they got me into it) lol so you see i like a lot because of the ppl who i hang out with, grew up with got me into soo many types of music :D...and also if i like the beat and voice i'll like the artist/band hehe thats all im saying  |

lol..never saw this thread before and it's already 6 pages in?
Korean: -Epik High (best group in Korea) -MC Mong (best solo-er in Korea) -SNSD -DJ Doc (when they were around, these guys were kings before Epik High came along) -Big Bang (G Dragon's solo) not alot..I like unique Korean artists/groups, not your everyday type stuff you see nowadays. Japanese: -Ai Otsuka -UVERworld -Aqua Timez -ET King -NewS -Miyavi -Rip Slyme (recently, not bad at all) -Yui English Speaking: -Bloc Party (best there is...) -Killswitch Engage -AFI -Sum 41 -Keane -MGMT -Monkey Majik (2 Canadian + 2 Japanese = outstanding!!) -Surferosa (Norwegian band, very good.) -Linkin Park -Evanescence -Red Hot Chili Peppers -Rage Against the Machine (who doesn't listen to Rage?) -Hit the Lights ..tons more just can't think of any |
