Hi everyone,

I wanted to know which Utada songs these were, I have been searching for a verryy long time, to no avail.

I am looking for the G#5, and both A5 songs.

Thanks for all the help!

G#5 is 幸せになろう (Shiawase ni Narou) from DEEP RIVER. The first A5 is DISTANCE and the second A5 is 蹴っ飛ばせ! (Kettobase!), both from Distance. :]

Hikki's range

Only 2 octaves? Well, voice range isn't everyting, like someone above mentioned. I do believe she is contralto, she's better at low notes then on high ones...

To her credit, Utada can pitch the some of the best ad-libs, or "acrobatics," you might say, ever. Best examples off the top of my head are her UNPLUGGED and UNITED performances of Automatic.

what i like most about hikki's voice (and i'm surprised this hasn't come up in here) is how she knows when to make it shake, for effect, almost like she's about to cry (whether it be because she's sad or happy). in reviews for her albums, this is always mentioned, in a good way, and i think without it, more so than any voice range, a lot of the emotion in her songs would be robbed.

I get what you mean. Kind of like a tremble, but not a bad one like *cough* Ayumi *cough*

That's a low one man.Ayumi wasn't a natural talent when it came to singing. She had to take lessons come DUTY.She can't change the way she speaks with expression so the nasal singing is gonna be there man. There is really nothing she can do about that. And she has tried. She actually has been pretty good lately. Her natural tone of voice is showing up more in her singing and age is deepening her pitch nicely.
