I'm really looking forward to Mike Rizzo as the opening act. He has made some of the best remixes in the past for the biggest singers.

He will probably just be playing dance mixes like he would if he was spinning in a club. I hope he plays his mix of "Energetic" and i'm sure he will play his "Dirty Desire" mix too! :D

No offense to Mike Rizzo, I'm sure he is a swell guy and good DJ and all that stuff but if his opening is longer then 20 minutes I'm gonna be pissed.

I didn't buy tickets and intend on sitting out in the cold outside a club to see some no name DJ spin. If it was an elite DJ like Sander Van Dorn, Ferry Cortson or Tiesto I would be psyched but Mike Rizzo?
Who?

Please keep the opening short and sweet Mike, kthxbye.

Damn, that's a little harsh, don't you think? I'd say you have nothing to worry about, because opening acts don't usually last longer than 30 minutes anyway. Unless the mainstage performer is running late or something. I hope that won't be the case, hahaha.

In addition, I'm surprised you think that Tiesto would be an opening act for anyone. He's too big for that now, lol. The whole point of an opening act is for that performer/group to gain exposure. Everybody's gotta get started sometime. ;D

I hope there is special guests as well. like ne-yo or something or even if trick or stargate was there.

Man, I WISH, I'd go crazy if Ne-Yo opened for her
(even though, I wouldn't see him as "opening act" material)

He's just too cute~ ♥

Dir en grey's newer music sounds more like western metal and not visual kei-ish anymore. Anyway, judging from the videos of her Sephora event, it wouldn't be surprising if fans really camp before her concerts. There are hardcores out there.

I know. It's... disappointing?

That hardcore, huh~ Good to know

Hasn't it already been stated by Rizzo and Utada's site that Rizzo will be opening for her...?

I believe that Utada fans aren't as aggressive and rude as Dir en grey fans. Dir en grey fans can be really scary sometimes (sort of like Slipknot fans). Therefore, I don't think there will be much of a problem when Dj Rizzo does the opening act for her.

Ahaha, well of course~

Utada is pop, Dir en grey is... dunno if you can call they're newer stuff music ;;

I'm wondering are Utada fans are hardcore like most jrock fans are.
I mean, doing the whole "camping-outside-since-the-night-before" sorta thing :x

If it's a DJ, I'm hoping he'll warm up the crowd with dance remixes :D ♥

"DJ MIKE RIZZO WILL OPEN ALL DATES FOR UTADA."

it's stated in her official site

http://www.utada.com/news/

We should all show our suppor to DJ Mike. He replied to several of us when we asked him questions, so it would suck if we didn't show some kind of support to him.

I really hope that when he opens the shows for Utada it doesn't become like when 'the human abstract' opened for Dir En Grey last year in their US tour... I heard that in some places fans booed the opening band. I went to their show last year in November in LA and the crowd didn't booed them but the crowd seriously seemed like statues, nobody was moving, it was complete silence... that alone seemed somewhat disrespectful for the opening band.

The opening act is meant to get us pumped up, so try to get pumped up...

I feel guilty after reading aquaticdragons post, quite Mike Rizzo broke the news of the tour in the first place, I can say with confidence that Mike Rizzo will get a rousing welcome in London, after all Mike is no ordinary opener he has solid musical partnership with Utada for sometime and has remixed Dirty Desire TiTo second single ?
