Which Japanese artist do you think can make an impact in the U.S.?

Since Utada is trying her best to make an impact in the U.S., out of the three well-known Japanese artists, which one should make a debut English album:

Ayumi Hamasaki

Koda Kumi

Namie Amuro

I would have to say miss koda. I think she would be rihgt at home with the sex-charged american market. Her english is okay...but no where near hikki's. But who cares. I think that B.O.A. would also do good in american, her dancing skills are quite nice and has okay english for not being a native speaker. Namie's a little old to make a splash in america, IMO... Ayu-chan is cute, thats it. It goes a long way in japan, but no so much in america. The japanese are obbessed with "cute" stuff.

Probably Koda Kumi or Namie Amuro, since their music is the most westernized...

But I prefer Namie more. I was never really into Koda, except for a few of her songs and her 'BUT' PV was pretty hot. xD

How about Crystal Kay? xD

Definantly do not see Ayumi making it in the US. Namie eh, Koda Kumi most likely. Crystal Kay I think has a good shot too.

Miss kay would be good. She kinda has an advantage since she is african american. She speaks native english too. Her vocals are american in style. Since amerie made it (korean and african american, too) crystal could easily make it. If only her dance steps could get sharper... But if crystal kay was in the poll, I would of voted for her.

M-flo would be nice. Teriyaki boys kinda have a name here, and they know pharell. Too easy for him. But I'm not sure if the hip hop community really would embrace an asian rapper. Them embraced emenim (spelling) but I'm not positive about m-flo. He would definatively need to get involved in somecfree style battles or find another way to get some street cred...
