Ahh, I know what you mean. I'm bi myself (known since I was really little), and pretty darn flamboyant, so I've faced a lot of crap about my sexuality. And I actually just broke up with my boyfriend because...well, basically because we (he) weren't at a place where we (he) felt prepared for that sort of commitment. But I'm not super depressed about it. Things were getting kind of dull anyway. Plus, I'm pretty sure he was cheating on me, so whatever. My parents never even knew about him, so that makes it easier to deal with 'cause they won't constantly be asking about why he isn't coming over or whatever. But, yeah, seeing straight people together strikes a bad cord with me sometimes. It's like they're laughing at you without even thinking about it. And it isn't their faults- most of them just have no idea about the difficulties of everyday life when you see people in love with each other and know that you can't be that public about your affections. Although I disagree about gay men not being able to attract women. I currently have three close friends, all girls, who I KNOW are attracted to me, either because they've told me or told someone else who's told me. Unfortunately, I'm not interested in any of them. Two are close friends I can't imagine being anything more with, and the other is a freshman- and I definitely don't want to be her first boyfriend. So, yeah. Anyway, "On and On" has officially become my gay pride song. xD "If you wanna mess with us, sink you with a counter punch!" Kisses & Cuddles, Shuri/Eli |
