it's the other way round.

wii doesn't get promoted that much

and with the recent ff fever, it stinks more

and most of the games in ps3 now are fps

The Wii acutally gets a ton of press. There are so many articles on how the Wii encourages non-gamers (adults, seniors, and women) to play videogames. It gets a lot of bullshit press as well about its health benefits.

It's not that I don't like the Wii, I'm just bothered at how Nintendo focuses its console around "casual" gaming.

I don't like the PS3 either, but there is some serious technology behind that thing. People seem to ignore that once they take one glance at the price point.
