There's been VHS recordings of me singing "Somewhere out there" by Linda Ronstandt and James Ingram (I think) at around age 2, so probably around that time I was already enjoying music. Also liked certain songs like the cover of Hazy Shade of Winter by the Bangles, artists such as Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Prince, Depeche Mode, etc.
With J-pop, maybe about ages 15-16, I was first listening to SPEED, GLAY, Mr. Children, Dreams Come True, The Brilliant Green, Namie Amuro, and T.M. Revolution thanks to HEY HEY HEY. But it was Utada Hikaru's First Love tracks in Majou no Jouken that had me officially hooked since then. |
