Brazil 2 -1 North Korea ... Brazil, seeded number one in the Fifa rankings, North Korea back at 105th, so Brazil were expected to cruise past North Korea but North Korea were not playing from the script and for some 50 or so minutes they made Brazil work for every inch of space, doubling up on tackles and defending as thought their lives depended on it , there was touching moment when the North Korean national anthem was in full swing witnessing Tae-Se Jong tears flowing with pride, an impressive sight....
Ok Brazil deserved the victory if for their level of possession alone, particularly after the break, but North Korea's all unknowns held their heads aloft, after 93 minutes of passion and dogged determination, a warning with a line in the grass to Portugal and Ivory Coast, watch out North Korea are here and mean business !!!.... look at the calmness Kim Jong-Hun's squad displayed and the well deserved goal when Ji Yun-nam calmly fired past Cesar, Jong was causing a stressed Lucio all kinds of aggro with his sharp movements and sheer speed... One also has to admire Brazilian Maicons magic goal, if that was his intention to swerve the ball from such an acute angel... ...pure genius, and Robinho perfectly timed pass for Elano to just slot passed Myong-Guk Ri was more magic viewing.... As for Ivory Coast and Portugal, they were like two dogs sniffing each other?s backsides; it was painfully obvious from the start both sides were desperate to avoid conceding a goal to such an extent that the defensive barriers went up, so creating a situation of stalemate. Cristiano Ron-ego did give a hint as to why he is the most expensive player on the planet, with the deftness of touchs he turned and cleverly floated the ball and struck a post, but apart from that it was dreary and deadlocked...... At the Moment Chile is 1-0 up against Honduras, while Spain is due to play the Swiss at 15:00 London time, Torres is expected to start after a knee injury... This evening it is the turn of South Africa v Uruguay.... ?Last I love to listen Vivizula trumpet ratatatatatatata?..... Val, after 3 hours or so of these oral monstrosities in the hands of just a couple of 5 year olds and you will be greasing the business end and ramming right up where the sun don?t shine...it just not natural for humans to make that noise ... |
