A match built for stars it was for United and Liverpool. Steven Gerrard finally picked up the burden of carrying Liverpool with his double and what seemed to secure a point against Manchester. But Berbatov had other plans as he was only settling for 3 points with a match winning hatty. More effective he has become at striker. Looked great preseason, he looks as if he wants to play well in red. There were rumors Berbatov was on the chopping block if he had a subpar year. Sir Alex for sure challenged Berbatov and he has answered.
Chelsea have my money if I had to choose entertaining clubs. First half against Blackpool seemed too easy. Ian Holloway wanted his Blackpool mates to play, but try not to get embarrassed. Their first meeting with Chelsea and it will not be forgotten. Drogba flat out had fun in this one, should've had 2. Pips you know which chance I'm talking about. Got by two defenders, but missed the easiest thing when being labeled a prolific striker. Essien was trigger happy and Florent Malouda was precision. At this rate, Ancelotti may have to consider selling Terry and Lampard to help their financial woes. Chelsea is winning without their two main stars..so why keep them? And Arsenal...don't want to talk about it. I was wondering why Cerezo Osaka was doing bad in J1, well Shinji Kagawa moved to Germany. He vowed to double up last outing and he kept his word as his Borussia Dortmund beat Schalke 04, 3-1. Japan's next star is looming. Honda first, then Kagawa. Kakitani is a few years out from major stardom. |
