i'm in shock.
like wow.
i'm so glad i was on hiatus from this forum when the "hikki boobs fan club" showed up.
i would have thrown a fit.
it's ridiculous to have a fan club like that,
and it is degrading. i can't even believe that people are arguing that it's not.
so what, a girl can't wear a low cut shirt without expecting men to treat her like an object?
excuse me, but i see guys with their shirts of and i don't make a chest fan club for my favorite male celebrities.
want to know why? because you shouldn't be a fan of someone's body and only that unless this person is a porn star or sexualizes themselves for fame.
i mean, we can all agree: hikki is pretty, but that's not what she's about.
think about it:
if hikki saw a boob fan club for herself,
she wouldn't think it was nice,
funny,
amusing.
no.
it's insulting.
and anyone who tries to say otherwise, is through and through a fool. and an oblivious one at that.
Finally, a girl. You know you're the ONLY ONE to make a compelling argument against this thread so far? It's still faulted, however. You're assuming that the men in the "boobs fan club" viewed Hikki as an object- that's not necessarily true. What you're essentially saying is that men can not express appreciation for a prominent part of the female anatomy without viewing them on the same level as silverware or house furniture? That's ridiculous. Simply because you're attracted to someone or something AND SAY IT does not mean that you are degrading them.
And I'll bet you anything you HAVE discussed with your friends actors and singers you thought were "hot" or "sexy" or "cute". Or your friends have made similar comments to you and you have not objected. Do you think every time my sister makes googly eyes at Joe Jonas and says "he's so hot" she's demeaning him? Or does that only apply to women?
Speaking of clothes, I'm transgendered myself, so I would like to explain to you a little something about men. If you wear a dress or a shirt that reveals your breasts, they will look at them. If you wear pants or a mini-skirt that are designed to be sexually enticing, men are likely to be sexually enticed. If you don't want people looking at your body, wear a full-body cloak and a mask: otherwise, suck it up and realize that your low-cut shirt and high-tailed skirt are going to turn men on. Don't wear pants with "JUICY" written across your buttocks if you don't want men reading it; don't wear shirts with writing on your cleavage if you don't want men looking there. No one dresses you but you, and it's your responsibility to cover what you want covered and show what you'd like people to see. It's that simple.

He ?warned? just at what stage did have any of have the authority to ?warn?, and who gave him that authority, this was the same excuse that all bigots use to justified there actions, and as a radio producer from time to time these issues are fully debated, and Shurikid, societies attitudes towards sexism affect your little Sister as much as my Children, so don?t kid your self they don?t , many thousands of letter arrive every week demanding broadcasters present women in a positive light, do you honestly believe that a boob thread does this is a positive fashion ?
There was nothing sexist about the thread. Show me evidence that there was. Please.
Let me put it this way. Would you feel demeaned and offended if a women complimented your abs? Regardless of whether you have any in real life, would that make you feel threatened and disconcerted? No. You would feel complimented. Women play the gender card way too much. There are actual legitimate concerns facing females; healthy sexually active men staring at pictures of a celebrity's boobs is not one of them. :/

You are attempting to defend the indefensible and failing, sorry but you are digging a deeper hole for yourself every time your lips move or your fingers hit the keyboard
Why? Because you said so? Oh, dear. I'm so very frightened of the big dark hole ahead of me. I may be defending the indefensible, but at least I can defend that. You're pulling at strings to try and make a mountain out of a mole hill.

And to make a thread that specifically points out the actions of Val(swallowtail) is just ABSURD
Again, I don't think anyone here is trying to crucify Swallowtail. I have nothing against him. I know he did what he thought was right. He was wrong. As soon as the ship's been patched we can all go on our merry way.
