soulhunter is right, "dake" doesn?t need a particle (as it is one itself) and it has to be used together with "eigo" in this case (as "watashi dake" would mean only me). So you might wanna say "Watashi wa eigo dake hanasemasu" or even "Watashi wa eigo shika hanasemasen" - which both mean "I can only speak english", but the latter one denotes that you think it?s not much (i.e. you feel you should be able to speak more languages). As for the second sentence, how about using the verb "benkyou suru" or "manabu" which both mean learn/study. So you can simply say: Watashi wa nihongo wo benkyou shimasu Just want to point out that the particle "no" indicates that the noun following "no" is qualified by the noun before it (so you might even translate "no" as "?s") - e.g. : Yumi no hon = Yumi?s book Hope I didn?t confuse you with my weird explanations @_@ Feel free to ask anything |
