Yeah, I remember her talking to the audience and saying, "So... I feel sorta like a witch tonight..." in response to what she was wearing and how poofy her hair was (I think that might be why she was a little late making her stage entrance, actually, but I'm not sure). Also, I'm short, at about 5'4, so I didn't expect to catch any Kuma balls even though I was about the 5th or 6th row from the stage. Don't feel bad. Quote:
That's EXACTLY what I was thinking! I thought the band was putting more of a "rock" vibe to most of her songs. There were DEFINITELY more electric guitar additions, but it just made everything sound more AMAZING! Also, her medley of "Devil Inside / Kremlin Dusk / You Make me Want to be a Man" was the same format as in her Utada United 2006 concert in Japan. I didn't know she was actually going to do it that way, but I'm SO glad she did! Quote:
I agree... -_-; When you "open" for a band (or do something similar), you don't perform the same length of time as the people you're going to the concert to see! I was starting to get bored the last 20 or 30 minutes of him DJing, until he played "Dirty Desire", which, might I add, does NOT need the orgasm moans, as others in this forum will agree with me... lol. When he was all like "UTADA AT 9:00", I realized it was only about 7:45, and I was like, "...oh my God, really? Do we have to...? Where's the freakin' bathroom, then?" XD Quote:
I told my bf Luis that I might cry when she comes out on stage. He proceeded to explain to me that he would break up with me if I cried! XD lmao. I knew he was joking, but still... my eyes did water plenty, since I knew it was a once in a lifetime experience for us. Best night of my entire life, hands down. Quote:
Luis pointed that out to me about halfway through the concert, I think when she was singing "First Love." ...I swear that, in that guy's head, he must be on some sort of drug that lets all music sound like heavy metal to him or something. It was THAT bad. People mentioned that he might have had a bit too much to drink, but this was OBVIOUSLY beyond that matter. Or maybe he just wanted to be sure to have Utada notice him. Not sure if it worked. Either way, he looked like an idiot and I'm glad I wasn't standing underneath where he was (We stood a little more than halfway past, on the other side of the stage). Quote:
I'm included in the "lot of gays" people that you saw. XD Luis stood on my left and kept wanting me to hold hands with him during the concert, which we did most of the time. I'm still kind of uncomfortable showing affection like holding hands in public, although I don't disagree with people doing it. Also, the few people who said "Marry me!" ...haha, that's funny. Utada responded to a person, saying something like, "You know, i was in (was it LA?) once, and I had a guy come up to me and say, 'Never get married!'" Utada actually made the story longer than what I quoted, but I have a poor memory when it comes to exact quotes, too... =\ Quote:
After that, Luis screamed, "BREAK DOWN THE DOORS!" After that, Utada was like, "Uhh.. let's not go that far." Or something to that extent. I don't know if it was an actual reponse to what Luis said, because we were a little ways from the stage and idk if she could hear him well or not. Quote:
You thought wrong! Luis and I are both from Murray, KY! but we weren't in the first row--we were in the 5th or 6th, lol. Geez, it was about a 7 hour drive from here to Chicago... lol. What part of KY are you from? |
