Yeah, I'm one of those unfortunate enough to have lost their family when I came out, although I came out as transgendered first then queer second. Basically, the only blood relatives I have that I can talk to are my mother and brothers. But right now I have the family I chose and they mean a heck of a lot more to me than those that rejected me.

I love that media figures, whether or not they're LGBT themselves, are able to come out as allied and in support of those of us who are. Judging from the lyrics to "On and On", it doesn't surprise me that Hikki's friendly to "family". May deity bless those that do come out as such.

Which reminds me that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt never married as a form of supporting same-sex marriage. Now, I wouldn't want to get married myself, but to say such a thing and follow through on it... there are very few people like that in this day and age.

So thank you to Hikki for being one of those brave media figures who supports us! The more the merrier!
