Were you not around when Utada released "Flavor of Life"? "Flavor of Life" is origionally happy and upbeat sounding (not talking about the lyrics).

As for the cover:
why try making it just like the origional? That defeats the purpose of actually covering it and making it your own. If you want an emotional version, go listen to Utada's.


Yes, I heard of Utada back then.

No, I wasn't around. I only heard of Simple and Clean during that time, and this was the 2nd Utada song I heard.
