Well, HTML (or at least, basic HTML) seems to work as well, and would be quite a bit easier for some of us, especially for common tags...

<b>Bold</b>
<i>Italic</i>
<u>Underline</u>
<s>Strike-through</s>
<a href="http://www.google.com">Links</a>
Image: <img src="http://www.gokie.com/files/decisiveness.jpg">
<font color="red" size="xx-large">Font Color/Size</font>
