There is a new Press Release from IDJ reguarding the upcoming release of "Exodus".
But there isn't really anything that we don't already know...

"EXCITING US DEBUT ALBUM 'EXODUS' TO BE RELEASED OCT. 5 ON ISLAND"

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 1, 2004

21-year-old singer/songwriter Utada is about to unleash her enigmatic pop skills on the US music scene with the Oct. 5 release of EXODUS, her US debut on Island Records. The stylish young star, who composes, writes and arranges all her songs, has recorded an enigmatic fusion of alternative, pop, dance and funk grooves. Rashod Ollison of the Baltimore Sun called the album "quirky, catchy and beat-driven...impressive, rippling with influences ranging from Bjork to Madonna. Hip-hop beats mingle with arty pop melodies" (9/30/04). The first remix single on the album is "Devil Inside," a hypnotic dance track laced with electronic Asian-flavored beats that debuted at #8 on the Billboard dance singles sales chart and is currently #7 on the Billboard club play chart. Utada was featured in a recent MTV News "You Hear it First" spotlight segment.

Utada is also joined on her debut album by some outstanding special guests such as drummer Jon Theodore from Mars Volta, who delivers an infectious groove on "Kremlin Dusk," and master producer Timbaland who adds his funky touch to "Exodus '04," "Wonder 'Bout" and "Let Me Give You My Love." Timbaland recently said about Utada, "We did some great work together. "Exodus" is such a fabulous song and Utada is the best!" Remixes of the rousing club single "Devil Inside" by Richard Vission and Scumfrog are also starting to heat up dance charts and club radio shows across the country.
