Legibility is better, but the colors, especially the purple is conflicting and somewhat jarring.

And when using fading, consider using it over a larger area... right now it still looks cut-off.

Hmm... trying to edit the previous comment didn't seem to work.

Anyway, the old logo, sans the "com" dot, looked better too. :)
