Utada News : Small blurb about Utada in New York Daily News
In a this column in the New York Daily News, the writer tells us about a story that Hikki told at an "Exodus" album release party. She talks about her experiences when she first went to Columbia University, and about how everyone knew who she was and that she couldn't stay in the dorms because of security.

Utada's pop bubble
Tourists might annoy you when they flood New York's landmarks - but just imagine if one of the stops on their bus jaunts was...you.
"When I came to New York for university, I didn't think anyone would know me because I was only famous in Asia," 21-year-old Japanese pop sensation Utada told us. But the Columbia student, who has three multimillion-selling albums in Japan, was well known enough that she "couldn't live in a dorm because the security wasn't that good."
"I came here, and everyone's asking me, 'I heard you were like the Japanese Britney Spears,'" Utada told us when we caught up to her at the release party for her album "Exodus," out now from Def Jam. "I was just mortified."
